Description:

Closantel is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent used against several species and developmental stages of trematodes, nematodes and arthropods. It is active against fasciola hepatica, gastrointestinal eelworms and larvae of arthropods. Closantel is mainly indicated for diseases caused by fasciola hepatica and gastrointestinal eelworms in cattle and sheep, estriasis of sheep and etc.

Indications and Usage:

The anti-trematode activity of closantel is mainly used against the parasites in and out of body for pigs sarcoptes scabiei, blood louse, roundworm, strongyloides, kidney worm , whipworn; oxen bloody spear nematode berghei, radiation esophagus nematode, massive fluke, fasciola hepatica, capillaria and melophagus grub; sheeps nasal grub, melophagus, sarcoptes scabiei, itch, nematode, Fasciola hepatica; horse stomach fly, dog and cat demodectica, and so on. For the treatment and control of mature and developing immature gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, tapeworms and fluke over 6 weeks in sheep and lambs. It is ovicidal against nematode eggs and delays egg laying in
trematodes (fluke).
