Description:

Fexofenadine is an antihistamine. It works by blocking a substance in the body called histamine. This helps to decrease allergy symptoms. Fexofenadine is called a non-sedating antihistamine, as it doesn't enter the brain in significant amounts and is therefore unlikely to cause drowsiness. Fexofenadine is classified as a second-generation antihistamine because it is less able to pass the blood-brain barrier and cause sedation, compared to first-generation antihistamines.

Indications and Usage:

Treating seasonal allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy throat, or itchy, watery eyes. It is also used to treat hives and skin itching. Fexofenadine Hydrochloride Tablets are indicated for treatment of uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children 6 years of age and older. It significantly reduces pruritus and the number of wheals.
